New - ESAR bonus now $2,000!

Program Overview

Every Soldier a Recruiter (ESAR) is the pilot referral bonus program of the Active, Reserve and National Guard components of the Army that provides select Soldiers and retired members of the U.S. Army the opportunity to assist with recruiting efforts, and rewards those efforts with referral bonuses up to $2,000.

ESAR was established to instill in all Soldiers and leaders that Every Soldier is a Recruiter. ESAR is open to individuals in the ARNG (SELRES), including AGR Soldiers on Active Duty, Military Technicians (MILTECHs) and Active Duty for Special Work (ADSW) personnel. ESAR is also open to Soldiers of the USAR, Active Army, and retired members of the U.S. Army.

Eligible participants who make a qualifying referral may receive a bonus of up to $2,000. Referrals must be no military experience, and may not be a member of the referring participant's immediate family. Referrals may be to the National Guard only. Currently, there is no limit on the number of referrals that a participant may provide. Referral nominations made on or after the enlistment date will not be authorized for payment.

NOTE: Neither the ARNG ESAR program nor the Army/USAR "Referral Bonus" programs should be confused with the ARNG's current Guard Recruiting Assistance Program (G-RAP), which is a civilian contract recruiting program and is not affiliated with either.
