I'm interested to know where you saw this DMD & non-DMD schedule.. As far as I know, the acronym DMD only refers to Dentists.

First DMD does not only refer to dentists.

DMD is something that replaces a UMR when a unit deploys.

It stands for Deployment Mobilization Document (well the 1SG next door said that lol)

This document allows units to except people that are not MOSqd in slots , Basicaly in need for E5-E7s. Also it allows the mos 00F00 which is a generic mos that anyone can join in.

a DMD and a UMR differ greatly on strength, positions, MOS, and ranks.

Thank you.

It is in the monthly company news letter.

I know everyone on the list is MOSQ and many with lower ranks. The unit was divided into a portion that is getting attached to a different unit for a MOB alert which in-turn has created separate drill schedules, a 'non DMD and a DMD schedule'. I dont know if thats what it really stands for because like I said, everyone on it is MOSQ......or wait....I might have thought of something here.... without breaking any OPSEC rules, no one is really going as their particular MOS, and no one has the MOS that the unit we are getting attached to has (it is an official alert and attachment so still good to go with OPSEC)......maybe it is what you said.... although the mission isnt really a particular MOS.... hmm, that didnt just make alot of sense but I know what I meant. lol Like I said, it really doesnt matter, I just got really curious.

Thanks again, it does make a little sense to me now!

Deployment Manning Document.

This document provides the personnel structure for a deployed mission, when a unit will perform a non-standard or in-lieu-of (ILO) mission in theater; e.g., an Infantry company providing perimeter security at a detention facility, which is an MP mission. Since we don't have enough MP I/R companies, we use an Infantry company as an ILO solution. That ILO mission requires a different arrangement of personnel, some different grade and skills requirements, and some different equipment (accounted for on a MEEL -- mission essential equipment list). The DMD and MEEL are tailored for the mission, and may differ significantly from the unit's standard MTOE. Oftentimes, it's more broad, since secfor (security force) missions are largely Soldier-immaterial, meaning that anyone with an MOS can fill the slot. Both a Ranger and an x-ray technician can stand guard in a tower, for example. About 80% of ARNG missions fall under DMDs.

I hope this isn't more answer than you'd wanted.
