can you wear your wedding band in basic?

and i know that if you can make it past reception and red phase you're pretty much in the clear, but i'm still scared sh**less. any way to get over that?

I would highly advise that you DON'T wear it. BCT is only 9 weeks, do you really want to worry about possibly losing the stone and getting it muddy? I think worrying about your dogtags will be enough in BCT. I am leaving mine home, safer that way, my man still knows i'm true to him lol.

Yes, you can. But if you can live with out it its better than losing it!
There's nothing to be scared of. Its such a rush... a great experience that only 2% of the nation ever experiences! I loved it. not every minute of it... but overall it was an awesome experience. Just think... thousands have gone before you! You will have no problem! maintain a positive attitude, and in the end, the worst thing for me was homesickness... and that isnt a new feeling for most people. Im sure you have felt homesickness at 1 point or another, so you know what to expect.
Once you get into the swing of things, basic is a walk in the park. It doesnt get physically easier after Red phase, you just begin to adjust to your new way of life.
