Don't count on that bonus getting to you anytime soon. I enlisted as a prior service, same mos, going on 3 months ago. Haven't seen my first half of my $15,000 or even my pay for the last 2 drills i attended. I got a call today saying it would be another month before i seen anything of my bonus!

What state are you in? That sucks. Seems the Army and guard don't realize that an up front screwing is bad for retention. This bonus delay thing is getting out of hand!

I would check a little closer to the reason for these things. I've heard of the delayed payment of bonus money for a LONG time now. It never ends. The Military always seems to screw that up somehow. In fact, I am going through your EXACT situation right now. The only thing that doesn't add up is the drill pay. I have NEVER heard of the them not paying soldiers for drills. Not unless it is an accounting error caused by a freak event or the soldier himself. I would double check that they have your correct home address and, if you gave it to them, also check to make sure your direct deposit information is correct.

I've come across a few incidents when a financial screw up caused a mess to a soldier's pay (that's including drill pay, which as mentioned before rarely should happen). Most were from direct deposits sent to wrong accounts due to erroneous account numbers, routing numbers or social security numbers entered in the data base for the soldier, to the soldier's account being closed by the bank. Also, mistakes made during the soldier's assession into the system can cause a slew of pay problems that once identified could be easily corrected. Before pushing it to the next level, always check to ensure that all pre-qualifications have been met (security clearances, MOSQ'ed -which could be missing of orders awarding the MOS-, completion of required training, etc.)

If there's no legitimate reason or explanation given to you for a bonus payment being grossly late (and your company hasn't been able to correct the problem), request from your chain of command that they set up an appointment for your use of the open door policy of the next higher commander. A chain of command which has diligently been working on your bonus problem woud gladly do so if it will help them solve your bonus issue. If the problem stems from your chain of command dropping the ball, then the higher command needs to be aware so they can rectify the situation.

here's a tip for you do your time and get out, if the money wasnt worth the hassle and wait the first time, getting some rank and time in grade wont mean that uncle sam wont still get you with technical issues, holes in contracts, taxes and exceptions. Check papers all you want once you get its usually not what you expected.
