I graduated AIT on 7/14/06. My contract is 6x2 and a 20,000 bonus.
My paperwork for the bonus was completed around 8/6/06.
I have not received my bonus yet. I understand that it takes 30 - 45 days, so it is technically not late.
I was curious if there is any way I can find information regarding my bonus. Like when it will be deposited, etc. Is there a website or a phone number to do this?

Couldn't you just call your recruiter and ask him how to get the information? I enlisted very recently, and I havent gone to basic training yet. However, I completed all of the paperwork there was regarding my bonus the day I enlisted, and I was lead to believe that the bonus would be deposited automatically upon my return from AIT... So this brings me to wonder whether I will have to wait a while after training for my first half of the 20,000, less taxes?

ok guys i dont know where you are hearing 30-45 days, no one thought that sounded iffy? 15 day difference? the norm is probably i say 30-90 days, the paperwork is prossed when you graduate AIT, you dont recieve the payment right away as soon as you graduate. so 1-3 months after you return from AIT you will get your first 50 percent payment less taxes

What about those of us that don't have to go to BCT or AIT due to prior service and already mos qualified. What is the normal timeframe.
I have an update regarding my bonus. I saw my les online through my pay at army knowledge online (AKO) and it says that my bonus check was sent to my usaa federal savings bank. There is no date when it was sent however but it does have the amount and the tax deducted and all that, i'm hoping to have the money available next week sometime.

For prior services, the best advice is to have the unit RNCO contact the state's Incentive Program Manager if a reasonable time has passed without receiving the bonus to ensure that a bonus control number have been assigned to them. This number can be used to track the progress on their bonus. You need to keep in mind that these managers take care of an entire state and the unit reps need to be considerate when calling them. You shouldnt call them yourself unless you feel there's something seriously wrong or your bonus is taking too long to be paid. Remember what SPC Tischner said before, 30 to 90 days.

I got back from AIT Aug 18 2006, and i think you "recruits" interested mainly on when your going to get your money need to re-consider why you joined. Your recruiter probably lied to you and told you about all the ladies you get for being in the Army. Well just worry about serving your country and not when your getting paid, it will come when it comes. Heres a horror story for you money hungry recruits.. i talked to a SPC in AIT and it took him a year to get his, im sure there was a glitch in the system somewhere. But just dont worry about the money, worry about not getting shot when you go to IRAQ. Pay attention when you go to Basic and learn something. Instead of makeing a calender of when you get out of AIT and count down the 45 lousy days. Youll have more things to worry about than that trust me.
