I am currently in the process of ETSing from active duty and somehow the National Guard recruiter talked me into signing up for a few more years (Yeah yeah... deep down I love this stuff). However, I decided to re-class from
11b to 15t. I'm just kinda currious about how AIT is going to be structured since I went through OSUT and didnt really have contact with NCOs that were going through the same course.

Being stuck in Infantryland for my entire career, my idea of "AIT" is having a Drill Sergeant screaming in my face for me to toe to line and side-step through the chow hall line silently. When I go through to re-class, am I going to be treated with the respect I've earned as an NCO and a seasoned combat veteran, or is it still going to be the pre-unit training atmosphere I became acustomed to as a young private?

Thanks!

It depends on what training resources your state has. Many MOSes have in-state MOSQ courses that are less like a basic training atmosphere. Even if you have to go to a traditional AIT, it will not be like OSUT. As an 11B, I know exactly what you're talking about, and as an NCO, I wouldn't look forward to going back to Ft. Benning. Best thing to do, is contact a recruiter in the Los Angeles area and find out if there is an in-state MOSQ course for 15T.
