Pizza comes in many forms, and can be bad or good... Of course if you buy and eat pizza from a major vendor there is a lot of fat involved - however many forms of pizza, like any other food, when taken in moderation is not bad. Trying to eat a large delivered pizza in one setting is not good...
I like pizza, and buy the frozen types as opposed to going to a burger joint, but prefer to make my own - not that hard to do, but can be time consuming. I go easy on the cheese and meat, and like to use a lot of veggies with a thin foccacia or multi-grain crust. If you go sparingly on oils and fats a slice or two of pizza can easily be part of a healthy diet.
When I was in Basic Training (Infantry OSUT) we would get pizza delivered periodically prior to a heavy training day that involved road marching and a variety of other physical activities - all on the idea of carbing up... And trust we used up those carbs - but unused carbs do end up as fat, so keep that in mind... A thick crust is carbolicious... Cheese in moderation also supports a healthy diet, so avoid extra cheesey fat intake.
When buying frozen pizza check the label for the nutrition info... if it is high in fat and sodium a red flag should go up... if you get delivery a lot, see if they have any nutritional info you can use to reference against a good sound healthy diet.
