The Utah Army National Guard (UTARNG) began as the Nauvoo Legion back in 1849. It went on to create two batteries that served with the army that captured Manila, capital of the Philippines. During the Korean War, two battalions - the 204th and 213th Field Artillery - earned Presidential Unit Citations for extraordinary achievement in combat. In 1959 the UTARNG formed the 19th Special Forces (better known as the Green Berets) Group, the first such unit in the National Guard. Enter your path to honor with the Utah Army National Guard.
